It was a miracle that I was born into this world with a kinda rare medical condition of “situs inversus”…. My mom had an accident when she was 2 months pregnant, and the doctor had her sign the agreement of treatment that may not save the baby…. And now, the healthy baby has grown, and ready to get married to her other-half on June 25, 2011.
My parents were so happy after my first cry at 6:15am long time ago. I weighed 2.85 kg (~6.27 lbs), and my mom forgot how “tall” I was…but not a “long” infant, I guess. If you ever talked to my dad, he would tell about his “hard” time taking care of me during my childhood. I had spent more time at the hospital than at home due to my abnormal digestion and several phobias including blood & needle phobia. I passed out a few times after being exposed to blood….
I was laughing so hard whenever my mom told me about my preschool ages at the “Mau Giao Mam Non”. I was complained almost everyday from my teachers for talking too much in class, for playing outside the yard during the nap time while other kids were napping, for crying non-stop in the first three days at school without eating anything….I was such a “hard-headed” kid hehe….
My first grade year was miserable. I remember the lonely feeling of having no friends to talk to or to play with during break/lunch time. I was just a little baby compared to my “giant classmates” in my first grade….And I had transferred to Tan Binh elementary/middle school since my second grade, and I graduated from middle school there. My life had changed totally. I was selected to a special class, which offered opportunities for students to learn art, music, sing, piano, etc. All of my teachers were so nice to me,….and I had a childhood crush on my classmate sitting behind me on the second row *_*… My first music teacher was one of Vietnamese traditional musician, Truong Quang Luc. He not only taught me music theory, but also taught me how to sing… and I fortunately won the second prize at school for singing the song “Chỉ Có Một Trên Đời” in my 2nd grade :-)…
Time has gone by so fast. I graduated my middle school from Tan Binh Middle School, and graduated high school from Nguyen Thuong Hien high school in 2001 in Vietnam. I continued my education in Physics major at The University of Natural Science in Saigon, Vietnam until 2003 when I immigrated to the US with my family.
I started my first 2-year college at Portland Community College, and transferred to Portland State University to finish my bachelor’s degree in Biology. I am currently “working” on my Doctor of Pharmacy degree at Oregon State University, and I will be done with my degree in summer 2012.
My life had not been fulfilled until I met my fiance’… He is the ONE whom I love and care for… and whom I want to share my life with…NOW and FOREVER…..
My fiance’, Thuy, and I have been dating for 3 years…. and it is time for us to live and grow old together……..
WISH US A HAPPY MARRIAGE!!!!
